-Shame on all those who missed: Star Wars - A New Hope, Hook
-Double-shame on those who think that I would own: Wanted, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
-Props to those who got: Brick, Saved!, American Beauty
-Double-props to those who correctly labeled: Ash's "Boomstick", the "+" in Romeo + Juliet

And now for the winners:
3rd - In third place, with 16.5 points (out of 30), is "joe". For your prize, I will let you keep my copy of Three Amigos. (That's right, I just called you out.)
2nd - In second place, with 17.5 points, is "TheOne", my newly-found friend from India. Since the logistics of getting a prize to you would be crazy, for your prize I will do a blog entry about any India/Bollywood/etc.-related topic of your choice.
1st - And in first place, with a mighty 20.5 points, is "--jeff *". For your prize, I have a brand new DVD of Dr. Seuss's The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat (including the Emmy-nominated The Hoober-Bloob Highway). Congratulations, gentlemen.

--jeff * wins!
The rest of the rankings are as follows:
  TheFormer786 - 16
  Becca - 12.5
  cwils33 - 7.5
  RedSteve - 6.5
  Melinda - 5
  Katie - 4.5
  Tiff - 4
  Rachel - 2
  Tracy - 1

Incidentally, none of you should feel bad for not getting many: two of the three winners were/are film students.*

*Yeah, those guys.
Thanks again to all who played. And if there is enough interest, there will be another similar game coming soon—feel free to leave any suggestions in comments.

seriously fun game.

maybe "name that car" for the next game?
or even "name that obscure minor character"? which, incidentally, may very well be harder, since the guns are often iconic.

still, heck of a lot of fun.

i need to borrow brick from you.

Name the obscure minor character WOULD be fun....but no google cheating, and perhaps a separate scoring system for us non-movie-nerds. Love it!!!!

I thought I had this one. I at LEAST though I beat Jeff! I'm pretty sure he cheated. I demand a recount!

Based on quickness of response + answers, I totally won!

There, I'm done justifying/rationalizing. It's time for me to hang up my film reels and admit defeat.

First of all, Adam, thank you!!!
I came across this contest through IMDB. And now here i am the underdog form India :P
I thought TheFormer786 would beat me easily in the last round but --jeff* came from nowhere to take away the prize.
In all fairness; a few were sure shots, a few were guesses but mostly i was lucky :)
Looking forward to another one of these.

i haven't seen most of those movies, but WHY wouldn't you desire to own WANTED, that is a fabulous movie!

I vote for more contests about movies.

I have spoken.

Love, peace, and the dog's bollocks.

I don't feel bad because I haven't seen the majority of those movies. I also knew it was Hook, I just never told you. :)
